Welcome to R.L. Stevenson Elementary School
Welcome to Stevenson Elementary! As an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, we offer the IB Primary Years Programme for students from kindergarten through grade four. Our focus is on nurturing the whole child by fostering strong relationships, developing character, and providing enriching learning experiences.
By setting high expectations and offering engaging content, we inspire our students to develop a passion for learning that extends beyond the classroom. Embracing inquiry-based learning, our students have the chance to create and innovate both in our classrooms and in our STEAM lab. Through collective action, we strengthen our school and community with annual school-wide action projects. Past projects have included building and maintaining a rain garden, designing a community exercise path, and establishing our school as an International Peace Site.

We will be offering free breakfast and lunch to children age 18 and under this summer at two school locations.

Last Friday, March 21, we welcomed the founder of the ZIRAN organization to Fridley High School to speak with our Chinese language students about environmental protection. ZIRAN focuses on helping people understand how to take part in protecting the environment through practical, everyday habits—like recycling correctly, reducing waste, and using energy wisely.
