At Fridley Preschool, we’re committed to excellence, preparing students for their future through robust programs and services, outstanding teachers and staff, and strong support from our community. It’s where students start their journeys to college and career readiness, emphasizing social and emotional learning, mathematics, and literacy. 

We’re now accepting registrations for the 2025-26 school year! 

For 3-year-old Preschool, children must be 3 years old on September 1, 2025. Your child must fall into the birthdate range of September 2, 2021 - September 1, 2022.

For 4-year-old Preschool, children must be 4 years old on September 2, 2025. Your child must fall into the birthdate range of September 2, 2020 - September 1, 2021.

Check out the information below to start the registration process. Priority will be given to those who apply by March 31, 2025.

 

Did You Know?
Fridley Preschool is the only program in the state of Minnesota to offer the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP) to students!

Sessions
Half-day sessions are available.

  • For 3-year-old preschool, sessions are held Monday-Thursday mornings from 8:15-11:00 a.m. or Monday-Thursday afternoons from 12:00-2:45 p.m.
  • For 4-year-old preschool, sessions are held Monday-Friday mornings from 8:15-11:15 a.m. or Monday-Friday afternoons from 12:00-3:00 p.m.

We also provide a full-day option for three- and four-year-old students (in partnership with Tiger Club). Sessions are held Monday-Friday from 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. It is a fee-based offering for families who are looking for a full day of programming, with limited need-based scholarships. County child care assistance (CCAP) accepted.

Cost
There is no cost to qualifying families. To qualify for FREE preschool, you must meet one of the following criteria below:

  • Qualifies for free or reduced-priced meals
  • Qualifies using state general financial eligibility requirements listed in MN State Statute 
  • Is an English language learner
  • Is an American Indian
  • Has experienced homelessness in the last 24 months
  • Is identified through health and developmental screening with a potential risk factor that may influence learning
  • Is in foster care, kinship care, or is in need of child protection services
  • Has a parent who is a migrant or seasonal agricultural laborer
  • Has a parent who is incarcerated
  • Have a current Individualized Education Plan (IEP), Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP), or is in evaluation.
  • A resident of the Fridley Public School District
  • Family special and extenuating circumstances reviewed and determined by district leadership.

For families who do not qualify, a sliding fee scale is available.

Transportation
FREE bus transportation is provided to 4-year-olds (Half-Day program only) who live in the Fridley attendance boundaries

Additionally, thanks to our partnership with the Northwest Suburban Integration School District (NWSISD), students who reside within the seven-district consortium (Anoka-Hennepin, Brooklyn Center, Buffalo-Hanover-Montrose, ISD728 (Elk River Area), Fridley, Osseo, and Rockford) can enroll in our schools—and even receive transportation!

Please note: 3-year-old and full-day students are not eligible for transportation.
 

Attend Preschool Enrollment Information Night!

Join us on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. at the Fridley Community Center (6085 7th Street NE, Door 10). Presentations will be held at 5:15 p.m. and 5:45 p.m.
